Right in the middle of your 2nd period of your junior year, most kids ask themselves... Is this really IT? Is this who I am in life? The nerd that is made fun of by the popular group? The answer is NO! The ads "It gets better" is the exact thing I am saying to you.
IF you feel like you aren't popular in high school, chances are you will have such a better life after school. When people tell you "this is the time of your life" they are wrong. There is so much time to grow as a person and meet new people who will make you a better human being.
I am not a big fan of people who marry their high school sweethearts. Did you really think you found your soul mate in the small rural town at 17 years old? That seems legit!
It has been my experience that if you were popular in school that is when you PEAK. You will never be as awesome as you are in high school. Who wants that? I would rather be happy and successful in life than the 4 years with people you don't even like! Now most people would say "She is just saying that because she wasn't popular" No I wasn't. But how many people can say they were ? The most awesome people that WERE popular usually didn't even know they were popular because they talked to everyone!
Life gets better. You are NOT who you were in high school. There are times I see FACEBOOK and see the girls I was friends with in high school all still besties..... It makes me sad they never really experienced life to meet people from all walks of life. As if they are living in a bubble. WE live in a small town.... 30,000 people. EVERYONE KNOWS EVERYONE. Some evolve... some don't. When the girl that used to make fun of you or wouldn't give you the time of day is now serving you at BDUBS or your cashier at a gas station..... That my friend is your ultimate revenge. Know you will always strive to be better than you THOUGHT you were in high school, and you will go far.
